High School Music
A legacy written in rhythm. Established in 1993, the Brody Endowed Fund has celebrated rising seniors’ passion for music for more than three decades. This season percussionist Alok Haksar ’26, the 2025 recipient of the Brody Award, brought rhythm to the big stage at Commencement. It’s a wonderful highlight for our Performing Arts Department, which continues to nurture, elevate, and showcase our students’ incredible artistic talents year after year.
Flint Hill Rock
To see how the Bill of Rights shapes our daily lives, our students took on the role of Supreme Court litigators. Student pairs were handed real-world cases and tasked with arguing either for or against the constitutionality of a specific amendment. Standing before their peers, our young lawyers wrestled with complex legal precedents and discovered firsthand just how flexible and fiercely debated the interpretation of these 10 core amendments can be!
Huskies of all Trades
After visiting the historic grounds, our 4th graders channeled their incredible creativity to bring history to life. Utilizing the tools and resources in our maker space, students designed and built detailed mini trade shops from scratch. Through this hands-on project, they didn’t just recreate the storefronts — they stepped into the shoes of early American artisans to explore the complex art of the barter system and discover how interdependent colonial community life really was.
Bee-Bot Movie
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a honeybee — or a kindergartener — should be coding this early, but our young computer scientists do it anyway! Kindergarteners were all abuzz as they programmed Bee-Bot robots to mimic the “waggle dance” of real honeybees. Working in small groups, they tackled foundational coding and sequencing to coordinate a synchronized robotic performance set to Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons,” proving that even our smallest Huskies are capable of big, complex computational thinking!
The Chair Company
Can a piece of cardboard carry the weight of real-world design? Our Honors Art III students proved it can. For this hands-on collaborative assignment, student-artists designed and constructed full-sized, fully functional chairs using only corrugated cardboard — no adhesives allowed. Teams engineered sturdy, comfortable seats while building complete brand identities to make their pieces market-ready.
